"The Showcase"

"The poster aims to convey the feeling of invasion that being the subject of an explicit deepfakes gives. The imagery invokes sadness and despair, isolation, burden and vulnerability. The bold text and colour choice evokes a sense of urgency and the text repetition signals persistence, that the importance of this movement should not be ignored."

"I Never Gave You My Face"
"'I Never Gave You My Face' is a short story born from grief, anger, and survival. It follows a girl whose stolen likeness was used against her, tearing apart her sense of self. Yet in her brokenness, she chooses to speak because her story, her truth, and her identity still belong to her alone."

"What Happened in Spanish Class?"
"This story is rooted in a personal experience from my eleventh-grade Spanish class, where I faced a situation similar to Ashanti's. However, unlike her, I lacked the resources and platforms to effectively challenge what was happening and instigate meaningful change.
This art submission serves as an exploration of 'what if?'—imagining a young girl empowered with the very tools and support I didn't have.
By creating Ashanti's journey, I want to expose young readers to the potential within their own resources and mediums, demonstrating how they too can find their voice and advocate for themselves and others in the face of injustice, particularly in the increasingly dangerous digital landscape."
